A couple of months ago, I received a phone call from Ami letting me know that her husband’s brother and wife were coming into town and they would like me to come to their home for a family photoshoot. We originally thought about a late afternoon session, since there was so much shade to work with, but the Texas heat forced us to rethink our plan and settled on getting together in the early morning.
The evening before the shoot, I slept like a baby…so much so that I never heard the morning thunderstorm that came through the metroplex. The rain proved to be a blessing from above. Overcast skies and mild temperature during what had already been a scorcher of a week created almost perfect conditions for any kind of shoot outside.
Ami, co-founder of Les Ami jewelry, and her family were so gracious to us. (Yes, please check out their website) After 3 hours of shooting, everyone was in good spirits, albeit somewhat famished. All-in-all, we had a good time and I think we created something pretty special for their family.
